Katherine Quiring

Ryan B. Corrigan

Ann Quiring, has been working for nonprofit companies since 2007 after moving to Moseley from her hometown of Raleigh, NC in 2006. She began working at the Midlothian YMCA in the aquatics department and has worked with the Active Adults program and Wellness departments ever since. In 2012, Ann was approached by the board president for FC Richmond Soccer Club about taking on a new project: serving as its manager of charitable gaming. This is FC Richmond's largest fundraising project to-date and currently operates two evenings a week. Ann will tell you that it is equal to full operation of a small business - requiring all the same elements of dedication to be successful. What this means now is that Ann is managing three nights of charitable gaming each week: two for FC Richmond and one for River City Loves Kindness.

Katherine Quiring is currently a junior at Virginia Tech studying Biological Sciences with a minor in Medicine and Society. She is a part of an ecology research lab at Virginia Tech and is working toward a co-authorship on a research paper. Katherine is the service director for Omega Phi Alpha, a national service sorority at Virginia Tech. Also, she is the secretary for Phi Sigma, the Biological Sciences National Honor Society at Virginia Tech. Katherine completed her CNA certification in Virginia and has been working with elderly residents for the past three years. She will continue working at a nursing home at Heritage Hall in Blacksburg, Virginia during college breaks. After graduating from Virginia Tech, Katherine plans on applying for physician assistant schools around Virginia.
